Very nice bird...

Congrats my friend. I had one at 50 yards in the woods and something spooked him and he took off. he was coming straight at me also.

I hate it when that happens. I've killed 2 coyotes and a bobcat scaring "my" turkeys. Good luck, you'll get him!

dang JSW, you on fire. I have been in th woods since thursday and have had crap for luck. Thursday am I had 3 strutters in a plot that I came up on and had them comming straight at me and there was a creek between me and them that I didn't know about and they never came to me. then after that the only birds I heard were across the prop line and never came within 300 yards of me. now I am going to rest for the week and go to work and try again next weekend.

congrats JSW me and naburton need to get on board with you.

Ya'll will get em! Plenty of time left. I've been fortunate but it's not going to get "right" until a couple of weeks from now. I know one thing, I've seen more jakes than I've ever seen! There's going to be some gobbling next spring!! Good luck!!

My dad just called me and he just shot the turkey that we were hunting last Saturday! He said the tom had 2 other gobblers with him and another gobbling up the ridge when he shot. 10" beard and 1 1/4" spurs. Can't wait until Saturday! He said they are just now getting right!

Went Saturday and heard 3. One of them sounded promising..... Gobbled on the roost about 80 yards. He hit the ground and continued to gobble.... Sounded like he was interested and sounded if he started making his way to us. After 15 mins he stopped and never showed. We waited for 20 mins more for him to show. At the end of 20 minutes waiting, my dad saw a gray fox. He said he was too far to shoot.... I'll try them one more time this coming weekend.
